Rattail serving spoon

Rattail is the oldest pattern in the range and dates from around 1710 as cutlery became more wide spread in use. The Rattail was the piece of metal at the top of handle used to attach it to the spoon bowl. Today the spoons are made as a single piece but the Rattail is still marked out on the reverse of the bowl.
