The Loxley four pin steak knife with wood handles

Our proudest achievement to date! We were approached by top chef Isaac McHale to design a very special steak knife for The Ledbury, a 2 Michelin star Restaurant in Notting Hill, London. Isaac wanted a Sheffield made alternative to other steak knives on the market and he was the inspiration behind the design. Naturally, the steak knives are also in use at Isaac's new venue, the Clove Club, Shoreditch, London. We are also proud to confirm that Fera at Claridges chose the stag handled version of this model for their re-fitted restaurant.

The four pin version has a cutting edge measuring 11cms and finished with a polished nickel ferrule. The handles are polished Khaya. A sustainably sourced member of the Mahogany family with deep red/brown tones. The blade is made from high carbon stainless steel and is decorated in Sheffield style along the top edge to give it that special appearance. Because the knife is made from proper blade steel the serration usually seen on a steak knife is unnecessary.

It does a great job on steak and game dishes, and provides a Sheffield made alternative to imported steak knives.
