Walkabout Potted History of Sheffield - Walk 1

This book is a brief guide to the history of the many buildings that help make up Sheffield's history. It is designed as a series of walks that can be done individually or linked together with other books in the series to make longer walks.

Walk 1 - Travels from the Railway Station and Canal Basin through Castlegate, Waingate, Commercial Street, Fitzalan Square, George Street and High Street, concluding at Church Street. Twenty-seven historic buildings are featured across approximately 2 miles, with 104 contemporary photographs, 18 archival images and 7 Ordnance Survey maps.
