This book is a brief guide to the history of the many buildings that help make up Sheffield's history. It is designed as a series of walks that can be done individually or linked together with other books in the series to make longer walks.

Walk 2 - Takes in High Street, Fargate, Norfolk Row, Norfolk Street, Surrey Street, Leopold Street, West Street, Holly Street and Barkers Pool, ending at Pinstone Street. Twenty-eight buildings are explored over approximately 1.5 miles, including 102 contemporary photographs, 21 archival images and Ordnance Survey maps.
